What warranty do I get with my new air con?
On top of your 5-year manufacturer’s warranty, we also provide a 5-year installation warranty. If for whatever reason you have an issue with your air-conditioning system, you can simply give us a call and we will assist you.
How often should I service my AC system?
Residential split systems: annually, every 12 months
If you live by salt water, ask us about our rust prevention spray that we can guarantee will reduce the rust caused by the salt air and prolong the life of your system.
What is the optimum temperature setting for my air con?
Winter: 20 – 22 degrees on heating
Summer: 22 – 24 degrees on cooling or up to 27 degrees for ultimate energy savings
What is included in a hydro clean and standard service?
Service
- All filters to be cleaned and sanitised
- All return air and supply air grills to be cleaned and sanitised
- Check refrigerant pressures to ensure that gas charge is correct
- Check and clean condensate drain and trays
- Check supply fan motor electrical connections
- Visual check of all electrical printed circuit board connections
- Visual check and tighten all electrical connections in condensing unit
- Check and test operation of condenser fan motors
- Check condenser for undue noise or vibration
- Remove, clean and inspect washable return air filter
- Removal, inspection and report on disposable filter and log readings
- Clean indoor and outdoor coils where required
- Check and tension fan belts where required / report on condition
- Test and log running amps on all compressors/ and motors
- Clean outdoor condenser case work panels and lubricate with Inox
- Test and log sub cooling and superheat
- Visual check of compressor oil level
- Grease and lubricate bearings where required / applicable
- Report and quote on any faults detected during service visit
Hydro clean
- All checks of a standard service above plus a hydro clean involves stripping the indoor and outdoor unit, pressure cleaning and then sanitising the system.
What brands do you use and recommend?
Mostly we recommend Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Midea.
We can also provide and install all other brands including Daikin, Fujitsu, Samsung, Temperzone etc.
What is the most economical way to run my air con?
The most economical way to run your system is by using the recommended temperature settings for the season, as well as timers. Most air conditioners also have an economy setting that uses less energy, while still providing cooling and heating comfort.
How do I know what size split system I need?
Split systems are available in a variety of sizes. The size you require depends on the size of the space that you are wanting to heat or cool. Please enquire for our qualified technician to come and view your space to provide you with an accurate solution and quote.
Should I get ducted or a split system installed?
You will find that every room/ house/ office etc is a different size with different specs and access points etc. Our qualified technicians will gladly provide their professional advice with all available options and can quote accordingly.
What is the average life expectancy of a split system? How do I know when it’s time to replace it?
Life expectancy of split systems varies depending on use and maintenance. If maintained well, serviced and cleaned annually you will be guaranteeing a longer life expectancy of about 5-10 years.

Does the salt air rust the AC system if I live near the water?
We recommend rust prevention to anyone that lives by the sea or canal. Using a rust prevention product will significantly reduce the rust caused by the salt air and prolong the life of your system. Please note, our technicians use this product every time we come to service your air conditioning system.
Do I have to have an external unit with my split system?
All split systems are installed with an indoor and outdoor unit. Both units have specific requirements as to where they can be installed; our technicians will liaise with you to choose the right place for it.
Do you liaise with my Body Corporate about the location of outdoor units?
Unfortunately we cannot liaise directly with your Body Corporate, however once you have their confirmation of installation, we will certainly do our best to fit in with their specifications and requirements.
Can I download an app on my phone to use as a remote for my split system?
Not all split systems provide this feature, however if you are wanting to be able to use your phone as a remote, please let us know and we will find the right system for you and your needs.
